Two Companies. One Vision. A Shared Space Designed for Collaboration.

Design Intent

28,669 square feet

Dow Chemical and Dow AgroSciences approached the project with a simple but powerful idea: two distinct business units sharing one unified workplace. The goal was to create an environment where both teams could operate independently yet benefit from shared amenity spaces that would strengthen collaboration, efficiency, and resource use.

The design intent centered on creating a professional, neutral, and highly functional workspace that maintained each group’s identity while providing a seamless, welcoming environment for staff and visitors. This included a shared reception, shared boardrooms, and shared kitchen spaces — all designed to support daily operations for both companies.

Design Strategy

TThe workplace was planned to support two distinct Dow teams while maximizing shared-use efficiencies. A central amenity core — including the shared reception, boardrooms, and kitchen spaces — created a unified hub for both companies. Dedicated work zones were kept separate but visually cohesive through a consistent material palette and careful zoning, allowing each team to function independently while benefiting from shared infrastructure..

Results

The final design delivered a cost-effective, collaborative, and efficient workplace. Shared amenities reduced duplication, improved visitor flow, and supported cross-team interaction. Staff now enjoy bright, functional spaces with comfortable meeting rooms, modern kitchens, and a welcoming shared reception — all contributing to a seamless co-working environment.
