Once dated and uninspiring, the Calgary office was transformed into a modern, high-performance workplace that showcases CertainTeed’s own award-winning ceiling and gypsum systems. Designed to enhance daylight, acoustics, and well-being, the new environment reflects the innovation behind their products and the culture they inspire.

Design Integrity
The existing CertainTeed Calgary office was dated, uninspiring, and no longer reflected the company’s leadership in building innovation. It lacked the energy needed to attract and retain employees and did little to express the strength of the CertainTeed brand.
The new design is intended to create a workplace that embodies the company’s identity and showcases its award-winning gypsum and ceiling systems in a functional, engaging environment. The space needed to promote employee well-being, support collaboration, and act as a living example of CertainTeed’s commitment to quality, sustainability, and performance.
Design Strategy
The design showcases CertainTeed’s materials in use — turning walls and ceilings into functional demonstrations of performance and finish quality. A signature blue feature element anchors the space and reinforces brand identity, while glass partitions and modular work zones support transparency and collaboration. Daylight, acoustic balance, and flexibility were key drivers in creating a workplace that feels both professional and inviting.
Results
The new environment serves as a modern workplace and live showroom, where staff and visitors can experience CertainTeed’s products firsthand. The space reflects the brand’s innovation, supports employee engagement, and communicates a strong message of quality and pride.
