CertainTeed’s Calgary office no longer reflected the company’s leadership in building innovation. The space felt dated, uninspiring, and disconnected from the brand's strength, offering little energy for employees and limited impact on clients and visitors.
The objective was to create a workplace that authentically expresses CertainTeed’s identity while showcasing its award-winning gypsum and ceiling systems in everyday use. Beyond aesthetics, the environment needed to support well-being, collaboration, and pride—becoming a living representation of the company’s commitment to quality, sustainability, and performance.
Project Intent
The design transforms the workplace into an experiential showcase of CertainTeed’s materials—where walls, ceilings, and spatial elements demonstrate performance as well as craftsmanship.
A bold signature blue feature anchors the environment and reinforces brand presence, while glass partitions and modular work zones promote transparency, flexibility, and connection. Careful attention to daylight, acoustics, and spatial balance creates an atmosphere that feels professional yet welcoming, supporting both focused work and meaningful collaboration.

Employees experience a stronger sense of engagement and pride, while clients encounter the brand not through marketing alone, but through the space itself.
