Project Intent
CertainTeed’s Calgary office no longer reflected the company’s position as a leader in building materials and innovation. The objective was to create a workplace that expressed the brand more clearly while supporting employees, clients and visitors.
The project also presented a distinct opportunity: to integrate CertainTeed’s own gypsum and ceiling systems directly into the architecture, allowing the workplace to function as both an office and a lived demonstration of the company’s products, performance and craftsmanship.
Design Strategy
The workplace was organized around several deliberate moves:
Turn the office into an experiential product showcase by integrating CertainTeed gypsum and ceiling systems into walls, ceilings and key architectural elements.
Strengthen brand presence through a bold signature blue feature and a cohesive material language.
Use glass partitions and modular work zones to support transparency, flexibility and visual connection.
Address daylight, acoustic comfort and spatial balance to support both focused work and collaboration.
Create a professional, welcoming client experience that communicates quality, innovation and technical credibility.
Specify durable, maintainable materials and details appropriate to an active workplace environment.
The result: a workplace that functions as both a high-performing office and a live expression of CertainTeed’s brand, products and technical capabilities.
